Acne Treatment
Causes of Acne
Acne occurs when excess oil (sebum) production combined with dead skin cells clog pores. Bacteria forms in the pores resulting in red inflamed pimples, pus filled whiteheads, or blackheads.
Acne Treatment - treat acne the natural way
The three most effective steps to treat acne are
- Kill or avoid bacteria responsible for acne infection
- Reduce the oil (sebum) production
- Exfoliate dead skin cells to prevent clogged pores
Shea butter, because of its extraordinary healing fraction, is a highly effective agent for killing bacteria responsible for acne infection. The essential oils that combine with shea butter to kill the acne bacteria and to reduce sebum production include
Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lavender, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Ylang-Ylang.
The following Karite Gold products are particularly effective for treating acne. Click on either of the products to find out more about them.
To treat acne, apply a moderate amount of Karite Gold daily.
After you have coated an area of your skin with shea butter, spend some time making sure that the shea butter works its way down under the surface of your skin. Move your fingers in a circular motion as you apply the shea butter.
